Pre Kindergarten/Kindergarten > WELCOME

Our private, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are full-day programs for children ages 4-6. This is an important and crucial time for young children making the transition from home life to a school setting.  At this point in a child’s life, it is important to provide young learners the opportunities for exploration and discovery. The preschool grade levels (PK, K, and PI) provide children with age appropriate learning experiences designed to enhance their continuing growth and development in each domain of the whole child—intellectual, social/emotional, and physical.  These children need hands-on activities as well as group experiences to help them learn.  During this time, our PK, K, and PI students demonstrate growth in social and emotional development, as well as positive attitudes about school and themselves.

pre-kindergarten/kindergarten essentials:

• 8:20 a.m. arrival time
• Active and quiet work times
• Rest and regroup times
• Learning centers in each classroom: books, art, computers, pretend area, blocks and shapes
• Structured enrichment activities (physical education, music, art, technology, and library)
• Introduction to the Spanish language

• Strong emphasis on phonics and vocabulary skills
• Age appropriate character education through individual and group activities
• Fine motor skills reinforced through writing and art
