Lower school > Character Education
The Academy believes that an important component of the daily experience is a consistent and age appropriate character development program.
The Lower School program helps our young students learn to be responsible, caring, and fair with their classmates and other members of the Academy community. With multi-aged students in one building, older students are given opportunities to become role models for younger students, developing age appropraite leadership qualities and a sense of community.
The monthly agenda for instilling and teaching the building blocks of character education in the Lower School is as follows:
- August/September – Respect
- October – Responsibility
- November- Gratitude
- December – Generosity/Safety
- January – Integrity/Honesty
- February – Kindness
- March – Perseverance
- April – Healthy Choices
- May – Patriotism
