The Annual Fund

What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund is the single most important fundraising endeavor at The Fayetteville Academy and includes contributions made during the fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.  The Annual Fund covers the yearly costs of operating the Academy, not covered through tuition revenues.  The success of the Annual Fund is critical to ensuring the long-term prosperity of our school.

Why support the Annual Fund?
Tuition revenues cover 91% of the cost of operating The Fayetteville Academy.  The Annual Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition income and the cost of educating our students.  The Academy does not receive financial support from local, state, or federal governments or religious organizations.

Is a gift to the Annual Fund tax-deductible?
Yes.  The Fayetteville Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Gifts are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Should I give an unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund?
Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund are preferred because the money is used for the most critical needs and programs that directly affect our students.  Without these unrestricted dollars, there is a chance some programs may not be funded.

Can I give a restricted gift?
Yes, restricted gifts are gladly accepted.  These contributions can be made for specific purposes, such as a particular program, athletic team, or to help a teacher with a classroom project.

Are matching gifts accepted?
Yes!  Your company may match your gift to the Annual Fund.  Check to see if the company participates in the matching gift program.  If so, this could double your donation.
