The Parents Association serves the very essential function of liaison between parents and the school.   Monthly meetings are held with room representative parents and the school director of each school division (Lower School Parents Panel, Middle School Parents Panel, and Upper School Parents Panel), and all Fayetteville Academy parents are welcome to attend.   Ideas, suggestions, and questions from parents are brought to the attention of the school administration.   Informal group discussion, led by the chairpersons of each panel, provides the school administration with insight into parent viewpoints. Equally important, Parents Association and Parents Panel representatives learn the rationale of decisions made by the administration and Board.   Information regarding all aspects of the school, including curriculum, is shared and discussed during meetings.

Divisional FAPA meetings are open to all parents.  Divisional meeting times may vary, but parents can contact the appropriate division head to find out the date and time of the next meeting.  This information can also be found on the school’s calendar.

The Executive Committee of FAPA consists of the FAPA President, Divisional Chairs, Treasurer, and the Head of School.  The purpose of these meetings is for cross-divisional communication and planning.  This group meets once a month to give divisional updates and discuss school-wide projects.  These meetings are not open to the entire parent body; however, occasionally, other parent or school personnel are invited to attend these meetings.
