MOrehead-Cain Semi-finalists named
December 9, 2011
Seniors Shelby Miller and John Stewart have been selected as semifinalists by the Morehead-Cain Scholarship committee at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Thousands of college-bound seniors apply for the Morehead-Cain Scholarship each year, and of those applicants, less than 15% are chosen to advance to this level, putting Shelby and John in a very distinguished group of talented and academically driven students. In January, each semifinalist will interview with Regional Selection Committee members for a chance to be a finalist. Good luck Shelby and John!
The Morehead-Cain is a four-year merit scholarship to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Established in 1945 and modeled after the Rhodes Scholarship, the Morehead-Cain is the oldest merit scholarship program in the United States. Recipients must demonstrate moral force of character, scholarship, physical vigor, and leadership.
