Welcome
Fayetteville Academy’s lower school offers a research-based curriculum for children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade with emphasis on the development of skills and knowledge in the core academic subjects of communication (reading, writing, spelling, grammar), mathematics, science, and social studies. In addition to the core academic instruction, lower school children receive weekly instruction in computer, art, music, physical education, foreign language, and library. Science instruction is provided in lower school science labs by two lower school science teachers. The preschool grade levels (PK, K and PI) provide children with age appropriate learning experiences designed to enhance their continuing growth and development in each domain of the whole child—intellectual, social/emotional, and physical.
Sincerely,

Dr. Ted Ray
Head of Lower School
