The Fayetteville Academy has 430 students in grades PK – 12 with an average class size of about 13 students. We are the only independent, non-sectarian, PK – 12th grade school in Cumberland County. The Academy is a member of the NCAIS, SAIS, NAIS, NCISAA, and CCBC.

Academics:
- Our SAT scores exceed local, state, and national averages
- Typically, 100% of our students are accepted to four-year colleges and universities
- During the past six years, roughly 80% of the college applications filed by our seniors resulted in acceptances
- Typically, between sixty and seventy-five percent of our student’s applications to very selective schools are accepted

Arts:
- Visual arts program offers instruction in a variety of art forms, PK – 12
- Award-winning band program has two levels of instruction
- Theatrical opportunities in all three divisions
- Private and semi-private lessons in dance, instrumental music, and voice are offered during the school day.
Athletics:
- Twenty-seven teams in seventeen different sports
- About 80% of our students participate in at least one sport
- Regularly finish near the top of the standings in the Wachovia Cup (Wachovia Cup 2-A Champions in 2008-2009)
- Roughly 35 Conference Championships in Past Ten Years
- 10 State Runners-Up in Past Ten Years
- 17 State Championships during Past Decade (nearly half by women’s teams)
Safety:
- Attendance at the Academy is a privilege, not a right, and major disciplinary problems are not tolerated.
- The Academy has an Honor Code in all three school divisions to help instill personal integrity in each student.
- Because of the trust and respect that our students have for each other, there are no locks on the lockers at the Academy.
- Nearly all faculty and staff are certified in first aid and CPR
Accessibility:
- The Academy is located in the center of the main residential communities in the city of Fayetteville, strategically located between downtown Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg.
- Although the majority of the students are from Fayetteville, the Academy regularly draws students from a radius of approximately 30 miles.
- The Academy experience is enriched by the diversity - socio-economic, racial, and religious - of its student body.
- Typically, about 20% of our students are military dependents.
