Matching Gifts

Many corporations have matching gift programs that support various nonprofit organizations, including Fayetteville Academy. The company for which you or your spouse works may match any cash or stock gift you make – sometimes on a $2-for-$1 basis, or more. Check with your company’s business office for specifics.

Appreciated Securities

For those who own securities or other capital assets that have appreciated in value, transferring this asset to Fayetteville Academycan result in significant tax savings for the donor. Congratulations to State Champion Morgan Dorsey!

CONGRATULATIONS to state champion Morgan Dorsey! NCISAA 1A/2A Track & Field State Championships
1st in the 800 Meters (2:20.7) school record
2nd in the 400 Meters (57.9) school record
7th in the 200 Meters
She also made NCISAA All-State. Great job, Morgan!
 
Morgan was selected as one of The Fayetteville Observer’s Athletes of the Week for May 15-20, 2017.
 

Congratulations to the Fayetteville Academy varsity girls’ soccer team on winning the Coastal Rivers Conference regular season for the second straight year with a record of 10-0 and on a great season!

Interview with Coach McCarthy

Congratulations to the Golf Team for finishing second in the final match of the Coastal Rivers Conference season on Monday at Highland Country Club. Cape Fear Academy won with a score of 322, Fayetteville Academy shared runners-up honors with Parrot Academy at 329, Harrells Academy posted 340, and Fayetteville Christian recorded 374. FA was led by Graham MacLeod at 77, and Walt Ghaffar with 81. Graham and Walter received All-Conference honors for the season.
 
Congratulations to Walter Ghaffar who finished 18 out of 53 in State Championship Tournament held at Mid-South Country Club in Southern Pines.

Congratulations to the Track Team for a great finish in the Coastal Rivers Conference Championship! Rachel Gordon finished 4th in the 100 and 4th in 200. Morgan Dorsey finished 1st in the girls 400 and 2nd in the 200. Kai Hubbard finished 5th in the 200 and 5th in the 400. Anjali Saini finished 3rd in the girls 800. Isaac Anderson finished 4th in the long jump.
