Nancy Goodrum- US Science Chair
"When people ask me what I teach, I say I teach teenagers---they are fascinating and extraordinary people. When students graduate and move on to college, I want them to appreciate the everyday applications of science; molecules in the air (chemistry), cells, circulation and movements of the hand (biology) and when driving down the street and accelerating (physics). Science is a 'minds on' discipline as well as 'hands on' . This is why our science program is unique."
